
Online & In-Person Counselling

Jacaranda Studio provides online and in-person counselling for people who find it hard to fit everything in to their busy lives or who prefer to access counselling from the comfort of their own home. I offer sessions online (telehealth) and outside of standard business hours.
I offer person-centred, trauma informed and compassionate online and in-person counselling. The type of support you receive is based on your individual needs as there is never one approach that suits every single person or couple.
I draw on many modalities but a strengths-based approach underpins everything I do. I believe that people are the experts of their own lives and whilst I can offer some perspectives and support you to process what is happening, I am not the expert - you are!
I believe that forming a strong therapeutic connection is absolutely essential to the counselling process and I will work with you (online or in person) to create a safe inclusive space for you to navigate through complex emotions.
Coming from a social work background means that I have a holistic approach to working with people and understand how family, community, society, culture and context all impact on the way in which we live our lives as individuals.
What I Offer
Online Sessions
There are many reasons people might find it challenging to access in person support, which is why I offer online sessions (telehealth) to reduce barriers for people seeking counselling.
I use Google Meet for all online appointments which you can access via your smart phone, computer, tablet or laptop. If you prefer not to use video, we can also talk with cameras off - whatever makes you feel the most comfortable.
Walk & Talk
I offer walk and talk in-person counselling from the beautiful Brisbane Bayside. Movement and being outdoors is proven to enhance wellbeing and some people find a less traditional counselling helps them to feel more comfortable.

30-Minute Free Online Sesssion
Deciding to have counselling is a big step, whether it is new to you or you have accessed this type of support before.
I offer a free initial 30-minute online session so we can get to know each other and you can make a choice about whether this is where you want to invest your time, money and emotional capacity. I will get some history about why you are seeking counselling and what you are hoping to get from it. Then you can decide if you want to go ahead with more sessions.
